A video intercom for a medical suite in Fourways: an outdoor door station with a built-in camera and four 7-inch touch-screen handsets inside, kept running by a battery backup.
Where: Fourways · Site: Medical suite · Done: Sep 2025
Staff in different rooms need to see who's at the door before they open it
The suite needed more than one answering point, and the intercom had to keep working when the power goes off.
We fitted a video door station and four handsets on battery backup
- Installed a Hikvision video intercom door station with a camera and rain shield.
- Fitted four 7-inch touch-screen video handsets in the rooms that answer the door.
- Connected them over a PoE switch with new cabling.
- Added a battery-backed power store so the intercom works through power cuts.
