Electric fencing, gate motors and security in Walkerville and the Midvaal
We’re a Walkerville business, and most of our work is on the homes, smallholdings and businesses around us: long boundaries, far gates, outbuildings and yards.
Since 1995 · Based at 114 Main Street, Walkerville · Repairs usually the next working day

Midvaal properties are hard on security systems
- “The house has a fence, but the rest of the plot is wide open.”
- “I want to know someone’s in the yard before they reach the door.”
- “The far gate has no power for a camera.”
- “Every summer a storm takes out the energiser or the gate motor card.”
We build for long boundaries, storms and far gates from the start
- Smallholdings and farms: freestanding electric fences split into zones, lightning protection, and solar or battery backup where the mains is far away; solar 4G cameras at the gate. See farm and game fencing.
- Village homes in Walkerville, De Deur and Henley on Klip: wall-top electric fences, gate motors, outdoor beams and alarms. See electric fencing.
- Estates and complexes: shared perimeters, access control and maintenance. See maintenance plans.
Send a pin and a few photos, then get a written quote
- WhatsApp us a Google Maps pin or a rough outline of the boundary, and a few photos.
- We tell you from the photos what’s involved.
- We visit, measure and send an itemised written quote.
- We install, test and, for electric fences, certify.
We’re just down the road: repairs are usually the next working day
- New installs: we visit, measure and send an itemised written quote, then book the work.
- Repairs: usually the next working day. We work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.
- No surprises: any call-out fee is told up front, before we come. Quotes are itemised and never exceeded without your OK.
For a smallholding, a map pin gets you a quote faster
Walkerville, Meyerton, Kliprivier, Henley on Klip, Randvaal and De Deur are all on our doorstep

- Henley on Klip and Daleside: fence work and repairs on homes and a business.

What we install most in the Midvaal
Each links to its service page:
- Farm and freestanding electric fences along the whole boundary, and wall-top electric fences on village homes
- Alarm systems, including Ajax wireless alarms, for the house, the outbuildings and the yard
- CCTV, including PTZ cameras and wireless links to outbuildings
- Gate motors and new sliding gates, fitted with anti-tamper brackets
We also look after what’s already there: electric fence repairs, especially after storms, gate motor repairs and batteries, maintenance plans and electric fence certificates for plot and house sales.
The fence rules are national, but Midvaal plots raise a few local questions
- Public roads: where a plot fence runs along a public road, the first live wire must be at least 1.5 m up or behind a barrier, with warning signs along the road.
- Lightning: frequent Highveld summer storms make lightning diverters and proper earthing essential on long lines.
- Power: long lines and far gates are where backup batteries and solar earn their keep.
- Selling a plot: you’ll need an electric fence certificate; book it early. See the COC guide.
Questions
Questions people ask us
Do you cover Meyerton, Kliprivier, Henley on Klip, Randvaal and De Deur?
Yes. We’re based in Walkerville, so they’re all a short drive away. WhatsApp us a pin and a few photos.
Do you do industrial and business sites in the Midvaal?
Yes. We’ve put in wireless outdoor alarms on an industrial site in Kliprivier, and we look after industrial electric fences on monthly maintenance contracts. See commercial and industrial.
How quickly can you get to a smallholding in the Midvaal?
Usually the next working day for a repair, because we’re based in Walkerville. We work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, and any call-out fee is told to you before we come.
Can you fence a whole smallholding, not just around the house?
Yes. We build freestanding electric fences along the full boundary, split into zones so you know where a fault is. Send us a Google Maps outline of the boundary and a few photos, and we’ll tell you what’s involved before we come out to measure.
Do I need an electric fence certificate to sell my plot?
Yes. You’ll need one when you sell, and conveyancers ask for it alongside the electrical COC. We inspect, fix what’s needed and issue the certificate. See our electric fence COC guide.
