How much does an electric fence cost?
It depends on the length, the number of strands, the energiser and how many gates and zones you need. Short runs cost more per metre, because the energiser, earthing and signs cost the same whatever the length. Our electric fence cost guide explains it in detail.
Do I need an electric fence certificate when I sell my house?
Yes. If the property has an electric fence, you’ll need an electric fence certificate when you sell, and conveyancers ask for it. It’s separate from the electrical COC. Only a registered electric fence installer can issue it. We do the inspection and issue it if the fence passes. Book a COC inspection.
Will my fence and gate keep working in a power cut?
Yes, if the batteries are healthy. Energisers, gate motors and alarms all run on backup batteries when the power goes. Frequent cuts wear batteries out faster, so we test them on every service visit.
