Maintenance plans for electric fences, gates, alarms and CCTV

A technician visits on a schedule, tests your fence, gate, alarm and cameras, fixes the small things and sends you a written report. We don’t disappear after the install.

Since 1995 · A written report after every visit

Security systems don’t break with a bang; they drift until the night it matters

  • “The battery held eight hours last winter. Now it’s one.”
  • “Grass grew into the bottom strand and the voltage dropped.”
  • “The camera hard drive stopped recording in March.”
  • “The insurer asked for proof the fence was working, and we had nothing.”

A scheduled visit catches it on a quiet Tuesday, and a report proves it was done

  • We test every part of the systems on your plan, fix the small things on the spot and quote anything bigger.
  • You get a written report after every visit: readings, photos, what we fixed and what still needs fixing.
  • Your plan sets how often we come.

Four steps to a plan, starting with one inspection

  1. WhatsApp or call us. Tell us what you have: fence, gate, alarm, cameras.
  2. Take-on inspection. We test everything and send a written report.
  3. Agree the plan. Visit frequency, what’s covered and the monthly price, in writing.
  4. Scheduled visits. Booked in advance, with a report after each one.

The promise: nothing beyond the plan is done without your OK. Repairs are quoted first, as the Consumer Protection Act requires, and carry its 3-month parts-and-labour warranty.

Ask for a take-on inspection and we’ll send you a plan

Every visit tests the whole system, not just a look over the wall

Electric fence

  • Voltage on every zone, recorded so you see the trend; earth test.
  • Walk the line: broken or slack wires, cracked insulators, loose brackets, vegetation.
  • Alarm test (cut, short and earth), siren, strobe and gate contacts.
  • Battery and charger under load; lightning diverters; warning signs; app alerts if fitted.

Gate motor

  • Battery and charger; smooth running, end positions and speed.
  • Safety beams aligned and stopping the gate.
  • Rack, gears, wheels and track; manual release; remotes; ants cleared from the box.

Alarm and beams

  • Walk-test every detector and beam; sirens and panic buttons; backup battery.
  • Signal test to your armed response company, and a check for old 2G or 3G communicators.

CCTV

  • Every camera, day and night; recording actually happening and how many days are kept.
  • Hard-drive health, clean lenses, app access, UPS test.

Access control and intercoms

  • Readers, keypads and handsets; GSM or 4G signal; locks and exit buttons.

The report is your proof for the insurer, head office or AGM

  • the date and the technician’s name
  • the readings (fence voltage per zone, battery tests, recording days)
  • photos of anything that needs attention
  • what we fixed on the day and parts used
  • what still needs fixing, with a price for your OK

For estates, a year of reports is the record to table at the AGM. For businesses, it’s the file your insurer or head office asks for.

Questions

Questions people ask us

What’s included in a maintenance visit?

We test every part of the systems on your plan: fence voltage per zone, earth, alarms, batteries, gate motor, beams, cameras and recording. You get a written report with readings, photos, what we fixed and what still needs fixing.

Do I need a new electric fence certificate after maintenance or repairs?

No, not for routine maintenance or small repairs like a broken wire or a cracked insulator. A new certificate is needed when the fence is extended or altered, and insurer guidance says replacing the energiser counts too.
