A steel yard in Alrode, on our monthly electric fence maintenance contract. We brought its electric fence up to standard, issued the certificate with a drawing of the fence, and check it zone by zone every month.

A busy industrial fence needs its certificate, and it needs looking after every month
Industrial fences take knocks: trucks, growth, razor wire and broken strands. The site needed the fence certified, and a regular check so faults don't wait for the next break-in.
We fixed what the standard asks for, certified it, and now visit monthly
- Installed 13 earth-spike kits (1.2 m spikes with covers, HT cable and conduit) and an earth grid of three spikes.
- Fitted two lightning diverters.
- Added 60 warning signs to bring the spacing down to 10 m.
- Put in four extra tension points.
- Issued the electric fence certificate with a drawing of the fence.
- On every monthly visit: measure each zone's voltage, repair broken wires, clear what's touching the fence, and report growth that needs cutting back.
