A new 6 m palisade sliding gate on a heavy-duty rail cast into concrete, then automated with a Centurion D5 Smart behind an anti-tamper bracket and a locked steel enclosure.
Where: Walkerville · Site: Home · Done: Oct 2026
The property needed a new gate, a rail that lasts, and a motor that's hard to steal
It started from scratch: no sliding gate, no rail and no power at the gate yet.
We built the gate and rail first, then automated it once power reached the gate
- Made and installed a 6 m palisade sliding gate with its posts, and painted it.
- Laid a 12 m heavy-duty rail: U-channel concreted into the ground with 16 mm round bar on top.
- Cast a reinforced concrete base for the motor.
- Once power was run to the gate, installed a Centurion D5 Smart with racking and base plate, plus an extra 1 m of rack for the longer gate.
- Fitted an anti-tamper bracket.
- Made and fitted a steel enclosure with locks over the motor.
What we installed
- Centurion D5 Smart gate motor
- Anti-tamper bracket
- Lockable steel motor enclosure
- 6 m palisade sliding gate
- 12 m U-channel rail with 16 mm round bar
The gate runs on a rail cast in concrete, with the motor locked away
The motor sits behind an anti-tamper bracket inside a locked steel box, which makes it much harder to take.
