An Ajax wireless outdoor alarm across nine zones of an industrial site in Kliprivier: 55 outdoor detectors along the walls, across the yard and on the buildings, all reporting to one hub.
Where: Kliprivier · Site: Industrial site · Done: Dec 2023
The site needed early warning along its walls and across the yard, not just inside the buildings
The walls are long and the yard is open, so the detectors had to cover a lot of ground without cable runs to every one of them.
We set out nine zones of wireless outdoor detectors and linked them back to one hub
- Installed 48 outdoor dual-curtain detectors and 7 outdoor motion detectors with rain hoods, many on their own 38 mm posts with adjustable brackets.
- Fitted nine wireless street sirens around the site.
- Placed three range extenders in outdoor enclosures, cabled and conduited, to carry the signal to the far zones.
- Fitted nine wireless 12 V relays and built a mimic panel that shows which zone has triggered.
- Programmed and set up the whole system.
- Put in a wireless point-to-point link to the guardroom and a range extender in the office.
