Jet Park business: 13 cameras over fibre, plus access control on five doors

A 16-channel camera system for the offices, the front and the workshop of a business in Jet Park, with a 150 m fibre link to the workshop, then access control on five doors and a biometric time-and-attendance reader.

Where: Jet Park · Site: Industrial business · Done: Mar 2026

The workshop is too far from the offices for ordinary network cable

Network cable runs out at about 100 m. The business wanted cameras in the workshop as well as the offices and the front, all on one recorder, and control over who opens which doors.

We linked the workshop by fibre, then put the doors on readers

  • Installed a 16-channel NVR with a 4 TB drive in a 4U server cabinet.
  • Fitted 3 dome cameras in the offices, 3 wide-angle cameras at the front of the building and 7 cameras in the workshop, all 4 MP.
  • Ran a 150 m fibre link, with a 20-port and an 8-port PoE switch on fibre uplinks.
  • Added two wireless access points to extend the network.
  • Installed a Hikvision biometric reader with PIN and card for time and attendance.
  • Put five doors on 300 kg mag locks with readers and keypads, no-touch exit buttons and battery-backed power supplies, and issued tags.

  • 13 × 4 MP cameras (dome, wide-angle, bullet)
