A group of Morningside residents wanted cameras on their road. We put up nine: seven battery cameras with their own solar panels and 4G SIM cards, so they need no cable or Wi-Fi, and two cabled cameras where power was close.

The residents wanted their road watched, with no cables strung along it
Most camera points had no power or network nearby, and running cable along a public road wasn't practical.
We used solar 4G cameras where there was no power, and cabled two where there was
- Installed 7 battery cameras, each with a solar panel and a 4G SIM card.
- Installed 2 hard-wired cameras with their cabling.
- Fitted memory cards for recording and metal arms to mount the cameras where needed.

- Memory cards, mounting arms, 7 SIM cards
Nine cameras on the road, most of them needing no cable at all
The road is covered by cameras the residents can check on their phones, and the solar 4G ones run without mains power or Wi-Fi.
