At a River Club home we extended the alarm with wireless outdoor detectors, put the cameras on a new recorder without throwing the old ones away, and fenced the back wall with the fence reporting to the alarm.
Where: River Club · Site: Home · Done: Nov 2025
The back of the property was the weak side
The alarm didn't reach the garden and the back wall, the cameras needed a new recorder, and the back wall had no electric fence.
We added outdoor detection, a new recorder and a fence on the back wall
- Added 2 wireless outdoor passives and 3 wireless dual-curtain detectors, two of them on new posts, with a wireless repeater, all programmed into the existing Paradox alarm.
- Installed an 8-channel recorder and a new 4 MP camera, and moved the old cameras onto the new recorder.
- Installed an electric fence on the back wall of the property.
- Fitted a wireless contact on the energiser so the fence reports to the alarm, and added a 20 W siren.
What we installed
- Paradox wireless outdoor passives and dual-curtain detectors, wireless repeater
- 8-channel recorder, 4 MP IP camera
- Electric fence on the back wall
- Wireless contact on the energiser, 20 W siren
The back of the house is covered by the alarm, the cameras and the fence
The garden and back wall now trigger the alarm, the old and new cameras record on one recorder, and a fence alarm shows up on the alarm system.
